Pinel Product Reviews
“As a company that provides training and consultation in crisis intervention and violence prevention, the Pinel De-Restraint System is a safe and efficient method for managing behaviours that place patients and staff members at imminent risk of harm.
The Pinel system reflects our company’s approach; that patients deserve to be treated with compassion, dignity and respect, and that previous and present trauma must be considered when the use of intrusive interventions become necessary. As we do, the Pinel De-Restraint System promotes a least-intrusive staged-approach to maintain safety with an over-arching goal of terminating restrictive measures as soon as possible. We believe in this product so much so that we became a certified Pinel Training Provider. The system is highly flexible to adapt to changing behaviour and needs. Restraints can be applied and removed quickly to promote safety for all involved.”

”I’ve been using the Pinel De-Restraining System for over two decades. It was first introduced to me as a front line security officer. This product has been very flexible and versatile in helping us with some unique challenges when we are restraining someone.
The thing I like the best about using the Pinel System is the name – the Pinel De-Restraining System – it encourages us get the restraints on quickly and also get the patient or client out of the restraints as soon as possible. They are versatile and flexible – we can change the length, add and take away restraints to make the patient as comfortable as possible. I’ve had the opportunity to both use and train with the system. It’s very simple to train and easy to use with the support and clinic staff – everyone loves it.”

“I have worked in security for over 18 years and during my time in the healthcare security I have worked with the Pinel System for 5-6 years. I find them very effective - it makes the security team safer because the restraints are so quick and easy to apply.
It makes the patient safe and it’s easier for security to respond to situations. My favourite Pinel item is the shoulder restraint (long utility strap). It helps secure the patient on the bed and battles the patient’s force and movement to keep them down and everyone safe.”
